Estes protects businesses from litigation related to construction
and development projects. He works with numerous contractors, trade
subcontractors and insurance carriers defending claims and suits
related to residential and commercial construction projects. These
include breach of contract, liquidated damages claims, delay claims,
surety actions, payment disputes and construction defect claims.
In addition to litigation, he advises clients on construction
contracts under negotiation, including AIA and ConsensusDocs form
contracts. Estes has represented clients in multi-million dollar
litigation and at trial in catastrophic personal injury and
construction defect cases. In addition to contractors he defends
engineers, architects and others in professional malpractice
claims and provides the firm’s insurance clients with
coverage opinions in various fields of insurance.
